Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 August 2026

These terms cover your use of this website and the general basis on which Code Burg Technologies provides services. The specifics of any actual project — scope, price, timeline and ownership — live in the written agreement we sign for that project.

1. Using this website

You are welcome to browse and use this site for the purpose of learning about our services and getting in touch. Please do not attempt to disrupt it, access parts of it you have not been given access to, or use it to send anything unlawful.

2. Information on this site is not an offer

Descriptions of our services are for information. They are not a quote, a fixed price, or a binding offer. Nothing on this site creates a contract between us — that happens only when we both sign a written agreement for a specific piece of work.

3. Enquiries and quotations

When you send an enquiry we will normally respond with questions, and then a written scope and price. A quotation is valid for the period stated on it. We may decline work, and we will say so plainly rather than quoting a deliberately unattractive price.

4. How engagements work

Each project is governed by its own written agreement, which sets out at minimum:

  • What is being built, and what is explicitly out of scope
  • The price, and the schedule on which it becomes payable
  • The expected timeline and what each side needs to provide
  • Who owns what at the end, and what happens to credentials and access
  • How changes to scope are agreed and priced

Where those terms and this page disagree, the signed agreement takes precedence.

5. Your responsibilities

Projects depend on input from you — content, feedback, access to systems, and decisions. Delays in providing those move the timeline, and we will tell you when that is happening rather than silently absorbing it. You are responsible for ensuring that any material you give us is yours to use.

6. Ownership

On full payment, the work produced specifically for you is yours. That includes source code, designs and documentation. Two qualifications: any third-party or open-source components remain under their own licences, and we retain the right to reuse general knowledge, techniques and non-client-specific tooling developed along the way.

The content, design and code of this website itself remain ours.

7. Confidentiality

Anything you share with us in the course of an engagement that is not public, we keep confidential and use only for the work. We will not name you as a client or show your project publicly without asking you first.

8. Support and maintenance

Ongoing support after launch is a separate arrangement, described in its own agreement. Without one, a delivered project is handed over complete and further work is quoted as new work.

9. Website provided "as is"

This website is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it. This does not affect the warranties given in a signed project agreement, which stand on their own terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of any engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Links to other sites

We sometimes link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before going anywhere near a court, we would much rather talk it through — get in touch and we will make a genuine effort to resolve it.

13. Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply and that part is treated as modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.

14. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Changes do not retroactively alter a signed project agreement.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms can go to hello@codeburgtech.com, or to Code Burg Technologies, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
